E-learning for adults

Whether you’re running your own business, preparing for a GED exam, going back to school, or learning a new craft, MPL cardholders can learn online 24/7 by logging into these resource links with their active library card number. Note: Your PIN will be the phone number MPL has on file for your library account. To help you track your own learning, you’ll also need a valid email address to enroll in courses offered below.

Udemy for Business by Gale offers thousands of on-demand courses in workplace, technology, and business skills. Personal development courses are also offered. Earn a completion certificate at your own pace. In addition to a Full Access Library Card, a Gmail or Microsoft account is required to access the courses. Learning Express offers online practice tests and tutorials for GED, college entrance, and career certification exams, and U.S. Citizenship. Tutorials in adult core skills, career advancement, are included too.
CreativeBug provides video classes on fine arts and crafts taught by designers and those experienced in the industry. Use your Full Access Library Card Number and a valid email to access courses.
Your library’s Pronunciator resource enables you to learn any of 163 languages with personalized courses, movies, music, and more. Includes new COVID-19 language course in 101 languages. Learn online, either on your desktop computer or mobile device! Children’s level courses and ESL content are included too. All MPL cardholders can login with their library card number.
As part of the library’s Kanopy streaming video subscription, library full access cardholders can view hundreds of college-level video courses on a range of subjects using recently predominant academic theories in history, literature, science, and philosophy. Courses in fine arts, music, and personal development are also available in addition to a Kanopy-curated selection of feature films and documentaries.Note: A full access MPL card is required to use this resource.
