Resources for business owners

All of the resources listed below can be accessed by logging in on our catalog page with a current library card number and the phone number we have on file for you. Please contact us at admin@maryvillepubliclibrary.org if you have trouble logging in.

Need a card? If you’re located within Nodaway County, our library staff can set you up with a temporary e-card.  Just send a photo of your photo ID and any piece of mail showing your current address, along with a phone number (to use as your login PIN) to admin@maryvillepubliclibrary.org  and we’ll get you started using the library’s e-resources.

NEW to MPL: Gale’s Legal Forms database contains a variety of business and personal legal forms and documents kept current with both Missouri and federal law.

Maryville Public Library also offers Newsbank’s America’s News,  a keyword and topic searchable database of 2,843 independent news sources. providing our users full-text access to the most current industry specific information locally and regionally.  Full-text content from Maryville Forum, St. Joseph News-Press, and Kansas City Star are also included.

Maryville Public Library’s Small Business E-Bookshelf contains a carefully selected variety of some of the highest-rated ebook and downloadable audiobook titles for startups, managers, and non-profit administrators. New titles on managing remote workers have just been added!  Current MPL cardholders can access our ebook/e-audio collection through the Libby for Overdrive app on your e-device, or through our catalog page.
