Family Lego Club to Begin this Fall

It’s time to get creative! Due to popular demand, Lego Club is now open for all ages the third Thursday of every month from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the library’s basement community room. Our first Family Lego Club will be September 19. Here’s what you can expect at Lego Club. When you arrive, please sign your child in. Parents of children 7 and under should plan to stay and build with their child. Parents of children 8 and older can stay with their child and enjoy building together or they may pick them up at the end of the session. (If children are dropped off to build, parents should be back at the library by 5:15pm, as builders sometimes finish early.) Builders will then get a container to start choosing Legos from totes for the themed build of the month. We provide all Legos and no Legos should be brought from home.  At the end of the evening, builders sort unused Legos back into totes for next time. Their project stays intact and we take pictures of the builders with their creations and post them on Facebook. Builds are displayed in the library until the next Lego Club. Please call us at (660) 582-5281 to register your child for Lego Club. There is no commitment to attend every monthly session. Reminders are sent out for those who would like to have a quick text each month about Lego Club dates and themes. Lego Club is free.
